Debian/Ubuntu Installation with APT
1. Edit the APT sources list:
# vi /etc/apt/sources.list
2. With the file open in vi, press "A" to enter editing mode, and add these lines to the file:
deb http://download.webmin.com/download/repository sarge contrib
deb http://webmin.mirror.somersettechsolutions.co.uk/repository sarge contrib
3. Save and exit the file by pressing ESC, typing :wq (colon-w-q), and pressing enter.
4. Fetch and install the proper GPG Key:
# cd /root
# wget http://www.webmin.com/jcameron-key.asc
# apt-key add jcameron-key.asc
5. Install Webmin:
# apt-get update
# apt-get install webmin
You should now have a fully functional instance of Webmin on your Debian VPS.
